Candy Bars

Candy Bars are a great alternative to favors for  your wedding or special event.  Being able to incorporate your theme colors with your favorite sweets helps create the feel of your event.

If you are interested in creating your own Candy Bar it is easier than you think! Start at your local Christmas Tree Shop for fun shaped glass vases. Having different heights of  vases and containers is helpful for filling purposes.  If you are on a budget going to your local dollar store or party city can provide you with many different candies to fill your vases with.  Pick a candy which is inexpensive to fill the larger vases and leave the smaller vases for the more expensive items.

Party City on the Berlin Turnpike offers  their candy setup by color to help make it easy for choosing items. Another great way to add flare to your Candy Bar would be layering different colored candy in larger vases.

Pick up small bags that you can dress up!  Have your friends over to help put together fun bags to match your table!  Inviting friends to help gives them bragging rights when they are at your event!

Decorating your vases is a super fun way to personalize your candy bar! Add rhinestones or fun ribbons to vases to make them look high end without breaking the bank!  Michael's offer rhinestone strips in all different sizes and many times I purchased many packs to glam up my glassware!

If you are interested in having a Candy Bar but would like someone else to create one for you contact Nightingale Events to help your ideas come to life!  We have hourly rates which make it affordable for your next event.

Bridal Show at Vito's By The Water 2/16/13!

On 2/16/13 we took part in a bridal show at Vito's By The Water.  The event was free for brides to attend and it was a great turn out!  We loved meeting all the brides and grooms and hearing about what they had planned for their special day!

We also loved spending time with our favorite photographer Simply K Studios!

and Vanessa P who does amazing makeup!

We really enjoyed meeting new vendors as well and we fell inlove with Woodward Paper Co.
The owner makes the most beautiful invitations, table numbers and menus and is very cost friendly!  Check her out on Facebook to learn more about her business!

It was a great day to meet vendors and happy couples and look forward to working with all our new clients!  Happy Planning :)

Wedding cupcakes!

The best part of planning your wedding is adding touches of your personaility! What's more fun than having different cucpakes for your guests to try rather than a cake?

Different textures, colors and designs on bite size treats will make your guests talk for years about the attention to detail you put into your wedding!

A new trend at weddings is to have cupcakes displays at each of the tables your guests are sitting at instead of flower arrangements.  It's gives a tasty treat to have after dinner to your guests and if you are working with a low budget for your big day it is perfect way to "kill two birds with one stone" with having your wedding dessert also pose as your centerpieces.

If you are on a budget or just love cucpcakes like me check out your local bakery to see if they can offer fun ideas for your cupcakes that would be cheaper than buying a wedding cake! Happy tasting :)
